The Department of Commerce has identified key areas where
immediate attention was required such as user awareness
and human resource development. For creating awareness in
respect of EC/EDI, this department has organised EDICON
(An international conference and exhibition on EC/EDI) along
with special session for CEOs of top Indian companies in
the years 1996, 1998 & 1999.
